Can You Undergo a Cataract Surgery After Having a LASIK Eye Surgery?

LASIK eye surgery and cataract surgery, whether carried out in Los Angeles or other parts of the United States, will ultimately result in improvement of vision. However, their similarity ends there, considering that LASIK and cataract surgery are two different procedures that remedy two entirely different problems.

LASIK corrects vision problems such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism by changing the shape of the cornea of the eye. On the other hand, cataract surgery improves vision by replacing the lens of the eye that has become clouded due to aging or other factors.
